Do you have a summer project that could use some help from a college intern? The Arts Management Internship program brings the talent and enthusiasm of undergraduates—carefully selected and matched with your organization’s needs by the Arts & Business Council of New York—to your staff.

The caliber of intern assigned to my organization was way beyond my expectations. This internship program is so much more well-rounded than anything else out there because of ABC/NY's facilitation, the business mentor, and the variety of host organizations.

Overview
Each arts organization hosts its intern for 10 weeks. Interns work  full time Monday through Friday, including weekly site visits. In addition, interns and host arts supervisors attend a program orientation breakfast (June 7, 2010) and a closing ceremony dinner.

Stipend
Each intern receives a $2,500 stipend. ABC/NY and host arts organizations both contribute to this payment.

Preference
As this program seeks to promote diversity in the field of arts management, preference is given to African-American, Asian-American, Latina/o, and Native-American students.

How to Apply
All NYC nonprofit arts organization are eligible to apply to host an intern. Organizations selected to host an intern must be or must become members of ABC/NY.  For questions about your membership status, contact us by e-mail or at 212.279.5910, x 1121.
