Maxie Jackson III
Senior Director of Programming Development, WNYC, New York City, New York
Maxie C Jackson III, served as program director of radio, working with station vice president and general manager Daniel C. DeVany to maintain a high-quality program service and develop programming initiatives responsive to the interests and needs of communities within the radio broadcast area of WETA 90.9 FM. Jackson also managed the staff and day-to-day operations of the radio station.
Maxie has served on national (CPB, NPR, BBC and PRI) committees impacting public radio funding, technology and programming. Currently, he is a member of the DEI Board of Directors, Eastern Region Public Medias Executive Board and Public Radio Internationals (PRI) Program Director Advisory Group. He served on the executive board of the African American Public Radio Consortium.
